Mr Barney joined the ThomasLloyd Group in 2018 as Managing Director Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. His role included building relationships with Institutional Investors and the banking sector in both Asia & the Middle East.He assisted in the identification of Renewable Energy projects and potential project partners.

He took on the role of Head of Global Risk Committee in 2020.

Barney has now stepped back from his active role at ThomasLloyd but will assist as a consultant.

During his 40-year career, Barney held various senior positions in the Financial Sector. His banking roles include Senior Dealer at both Williams & Glyns and RBS, VP Citibank, Senior Money Market Specialist at Riyad Bank, Senior Treasury Manager AUB Kuwait and Director Client Collateral Management Societe Generale Hong Kong.
